1. Where do the lessons take place?
Winter Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Lessons are held on the Plantation Preserve Golf course, not just a driving range. We hit off real grass and work on shots you actually face while playing. This excellent golf club has everything we need to cover the full range of techniques.
2. Are you close to Fort Lauderdale?
Yes. The lesson location is very close to Fort Lauderdale, making it easy to get to before or after work. Plantation Preserve Golf Club.It is with a quick drive from everywhere in Fort Lauderdale.
3. Do you use technology in your lessons?
Yes, cutting edge and results proven tech. I use Video Analysis V1 software and Full Swing Radar technology, providing 16 key data points to clearly show what’s happening in your swing and how to improve it. This is used in the online lessons as well as in-person lessons.
4. Will I get video feedback?
Absolutely. Video is used during the lesson to help you see and understand changes in real time, speeding up improvement. When either of us isn't in town you can also take online golf lessons.
5. Can we work on short game?
Yes. There is a dedicated short game area where we work on chipping, pitching, and distance control around the greens. The short game is fun, fast and most golfers spend almost two thirds of their time on it. My system is heavily focused on this tricky area that can make or break your game.
6. Do you have a bunker to practice sand shots?
Yes. We have a practice bunker so you can learn proper technique and build confidence from the sand.
7. Are lessons suitable for beginners?
Yes. Lessons are tailored to your level, whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced golfer looking to sharpen specific parts of your game.
8. Do you offer on-course instruction?
Yes. On-course coaching is available to help with strategy, shot selection, and real-world decision making, not just swing mechanics. Fort Lauderdale is a great place for golf with year round sunny weather. Playing golf on a championship gold course needs tuition on a championship course and all my lessons are at the club.
9. Is there somewhere my girlfriend (or partner) can relax during my lesson?
Yes. There’s a restaurant and outdoor seating area. She’s welcome to bring a laptop or book, grab a coffee, or enjoy lunch while you practice.
10. What makes your lessons different?
You’ll get real-grass practice, on-course instruction, modern technology, and short-game training—all combined into a practical, simple approach that helps you play better golf faster. For more information please see the Who is Duncan Smith page or see the testimonials.
