The Greatest Game Ever Played
Golf lessons in Boston are available from Spring to Fall each year. Golf legend Francis Ouimet is the inspiration behind the new academy. He is regarded as the "father of amateur golf" in the United States. He represents every American who hasn't played golf yet and who wants to enjoy lessons on a real grass course, not over-doing the long game on the driving ranges in the city center.

From amateur to champion Duncan invites you to follow Francis Ouimet's example
Francis won the 1913 U.S. Open (as an amateur) on September 20, 1913, in an 18-hole playoff at The Country Club. At age 20, he defeated British professionals Harry Vardon and Ted Ray to become the first amateur to win the U.S. Open. It is labelled by many as the "greatest game ever played". It was a good matchup and a great story. It's also a very good movie from 2005, well worth seeking out for inspiration.
Teaching in the footsteps of a legend - how Ouimet inspires golfers
- Francis proved to the world that amateurs can win and that who you are matters, not your bank account.
- He also proved that golf isn't a sport just for the elite. It grew from 350k players to 2 million soon after.
- This historic course makes it the perfect place for lessons for beginners as well as advanced golfers.
